SURVEY - Designing a Lasting World Peace Co-operatively.

Please read the "Designing a Lasting World Peace Co-operatively" first, as it would make answering the questions in the survey easier, more to the point.

The purpose of this survey is to gather people's ideas about what an ideal world that they would like to live in should look like; to collect a few individual "recipes", if you'd like, that could actually be used to make a model of an ideal world "from the scratch", as if.

Feel free to come back and fill out a new form, or just email me - modelearth, gmail, - if you have any new ideas. I am also thinking of starting a forum--please let me know whether this should be needed.

The responses should be clear, easily understood, and detailed enough so that by following those "recipes" a world (or, at least, your corner of it) could be constructed, a world in which it would be possible to live in. Please use terms that are easy to understand, so that even young people could use those "recipes"--the younger a person would be who could follow these "recipes", the better. Please try to avoid ambiguous generalities that could be interpreted in different ways by different people.

Very important--keep on mind that the objective is to design a world in which a war would be an impossibility. This means that there are very few features in our world that we currently live in (social structure, distribution of resources, etc.) that would be usable in designing a lasting peace on Earth. After all, so far nothing in this world worked yet that would ensure a lasting world peace! Perhaps all the features of the design have to be thought out completely anew!?

After there are enough many individual designs gathered, the challenge will be to compare all the "recipes", pick out the best features of those, and unify all the best features in one final design--a design that would have to be judged by all the participants as being optimal and acceptable by all. This is because we cannot live in our own individual worlds, but have only one to share at a time.

This whole enterprise could be seen as Utopian, but there is one important difference. Most Utopias were the product of idealistic individuals; The lasting world Peace "Utopia" would be the product of virtually all who would share the Earth.

Designing a world in which any kind of differences, controversies, and any conflicts would be resolved by, if need be, a constant co-operative designing of the communal co-existence has to happen with the participation of all who are to share such a world--if only a few people would be barred from the designing process that would already engender future controversies and conflicts, giving a rise to even violent confrontations. It has to be made sure that all participate in the design--reconciling our differences in models (of any kind--from mental ones to computer-based ones) would be incomparably more efficient and less costly than doing it in real time/space with a horrendous waste of lives, time, and resources!

By the time that all locally based communities decide to live truly sustainably (because living sustainably is a transparent process, one that doesn't create problems for the future--who would ever want to consciously include any problems in the design?), no hi-tech tools would be necessary for resolving all the differences, controversies, and any conflicts, because all those could be dealt with locally, by just getting together and resolving them to everybody's satisfaction

I'll try to devise a way how to keep everybody informed; it would not hurt to check Google Groups-ModelEarth - from time to time to see what, if anything, is going on. Again--would a forum be needed?
